I hope you did back your shirt on Chelsea, this season, CFC. Had you taken my sage advice, you'd be looking at a pretty good return, come the end of the season. No need to thank me, my friend.
So, 10 points clear proper now for the first time this season (i.e no-one has any games in hand) after Stoke did us a big favour at City. With 11 games to go, feels like a really good lead now. We have a decent run in as well, especially compared to City. I think Spurs are our biggest threat now. They have probably the best run in of the top 6 and no European football either and are playing well. Stan will try and convince us United are our biggest threat despite being about 17 points behind! Oh dear. Getting exciting now guys!
Statistically, I wonder how many teams have surrendered a lead this big, at this stage, in the P.L era? Newcastle springs to mind but can't be too many. I think City made up 8 points quite late on when they won it first time; but I think they played United during the run in - which helped of course.
Just had a quick look, a few teams surrendered big leads but normally when the catching team had up to 3 games in hand. Newcastle had a 12 point lead at one stage in 96 but that was Jan not March and again, United beat them in the run in to make up 3 of those points. History would suggest it would be very hard for Spurs to catch us and City would have to beat us at the Bridge to be in with a realistic sniff. But there is always a first time..... I think what's in our favour is that all the teams will likely drop points. No one looks likely of going on a massive run at the moment.
Well, we did our best by dry humping you the last time we played. We need the other teams to man up and do the same.
Well you can let him know that our biggest threat sure as **** aint Arsenal. That club is in ****ing crisis.
