We need a bigger squad as the loan market rules are now different. With a bigger squad, there will be many players unable to play that often. Its not as if we can loan them out of course. It makes sense to re-join the reserve league.

Just rang the club shop to find out if there was a charge to watch the central league game against Exeter on Tuesday at the Lawns and was told that the public are not being admitted,

Left a message on the voicemail of David Sam?. He returned my call and left a message to say that the wrong information had been given to me by the Rovers shop and that the match would take place at GFA ground Almondsbury at 12-00 and any spectator was welcome and there was no admission charge. If you look at the original posting on Rovers news it gave the place of the match as the LAWNS at 13.00 hrs.
Is the GFA Almondsbury and the Lawns the same place. I rang the shop this afternoon to try and confirm place and time and I am still waiting for the call to be returned as there was no one available to take the call, as and when I get the information I will post on this thread

    Team vs Exeter today...

    ----------------Puddy----------------
    ----Lyttle-Kilgour-Greenslade----
    ----------------Mansell---------------
    Broom---------------------Montano
    -----------------Bodin----------------
    ------Moore--Gaffney--James-----

Strong starting 11 and bench has what I guess is 5 youths as I never heard of any of them!

Exeter took a 1-0 lead where it stayed that way until half time. Straight from the 2nd half kick off, Bodin scored. 1-1.

CJS if you look on FM you will find most of the young players on there, thought there we some good performances today
Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist, and I think that Sam Hedges was another and James Russe was another Hodges and Tucker- Dixon were the other two
Good to see Wael and Steve Hamer there that must have them some encouragement

They were made to work for it though Gashead79 some of the Exeter play was very good and their young midfielder had a very sweet left foot. One of the fathers of our youth player was telling me that Exeter are the west feeder club for Man U which is why they are never bothered if they lose as long as they play the game the way it should be played. The Exeter keeper kept the score line very respectable with some very good saves, Just seen the that the Exeter keeper was Christy Pym who I believe was their first choice a while ago, which was probably why he looked brassed off when I said well played to him

To be honest with you, when I have played FM, I take no notice of the youths as they are always poor. I let their contracts just run down and release them. These players on the bench today, I havent seen their names before. Where is Dominic Thomas and Jay Malpas?
