Soccer Saturday's interview with Silva (they sent Rob Palmer for a chat): http://www.skysports.com/football/n...rting-to-believe-says-new-manager-marco-silva
I'd love us to get not just a result, but a big result, they were clinical against us here.. BUT..... I think we've improved since then... trouble is they probably have too... I'm still backing a City win though....
It was an FA Cup replay, Tuesday night, we drew there, I think, and Chelsea fans were banned from travelling but they turned up never the less. Early 80's. The 3-0 win was league game, old div 2, we lost there 4-0 last game of the season when Chelsea confirmed promotion. Have been known to be wrong.
I seem to recall it as a night league match (late 80's)? Kerry Dixon, cows arse and banjo also springs to mind!
The season we won 3-0 in the Div 2 match we played Chelsea in London in February, losing 2-1. Last game of that season was a loss to West Brom. Chelsea were promoted with 99 points as Champions.
Your probably right, I'm going from memory. We did play Chelsea away on the last day of the season around that time and we did lose 4-0 and Chelsea were promoted that day.
The Kempton had that effect sometimes, we often got into the ribs of those who were a bit ''precious''
Me too. Chelsea 2 Waggy 2, FA Cup Rd 6, 1966 ? Lost replay at home Simpkin 1 Chelsea 3. At both games.
In the 1-3 replay, I remember we were chanting, "Osgood, no good ... Osgood, no good." As I remember and unfortunately, that night he was very good!
With the exception of Spurs, Chelsea seem a different beast to the rest of the league. They seem less prone to moving from the spectacular to the ridiculous like Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City. I do think tomorrow is the toughest game in this run of games so anything we get tomorrow would be a massive bonus. Still, the great thing about football is that sometimes the unexpected can happen!
Because you're bringing on a fresh player when the opposition are tired.if you start a player only capable of 60 mins, or coming back from injury - what if they break down in the first 10 minutes? You have 80 minutes of play with 2 subs.
