    Taken from the Post....

A man could be facing criminal charges after threatening to poison Bristol Rovers fans while working at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The man, who claimed to be a chef on social media, had been employed by an agency to work at the ground during Rovers game against Gillingham. He posted the threat on Facebook before the game.

In the post he claimed to be a Bristol City fan and that he was going to undercook the food he was supposedly preparing. The worker asked how many likes he could get for posting that he 'couldn't be bothered' to cook the food properly.

A few hours later he posted he had been fired at 3pm after his post had been spotted. He then claimed he was a City fan and asked if anyone was looking for a chef.

Bristol Rovers have confirmed that as soon as the club were made aware of the threat security staff ejected the chef from the ground. It is understood the matter may now lie with the police.

    A Bristol Rovers spokesman said:
"On Saturday, prior to our match against Gillingham, someone purporting to be a Memorial Stadium employee posted on Facebook that he intended to harm supporters by tampering with their food. This matter was drawn to the attention of our security staff who escorted that person from the premises. The person involved is not a Memorial Stadium employee but one of the agency staff we employ on match days. The agency has been informed of the matter and it's possible that criminal proceedings will be taken against the person involved. We take the safety of all supporters very seriously and were able to take swift action on Saturday to prevent anyone coming to harm."

I agree but its a totally **** joke to me though <ok>

Can you imagine a supply teacher posting on facebook or twitter saying they are teaching today but cant be assed to actually teach though. Instead will let the kids fight and hurt each other. The head would be pissed off and company where they got the supply teacher from would be equally pissed off.

Never said it was a good joke :biggrin:but that's the problem with posting everything about your life online . Nobody would have battered an eyelid if he had been out for a few beers Friday and said it to his mates but these days everybody wants to share everything with the world

'Social Media' and I dont profess to know too much about any of it seems to have created all sorts of problems in this and other countries around the world, Oh to go back to the days of coin operated telephone boxes, Beech Nut chewing gum and receiving a good hand written letter.
