Any of you know if Saturday's game is being streamed? I've posted this on their board too so hopefully will find out one way or another!
You are on holiday I believe, one of the guys I go to the games with is in cape cod at present missed the Newcastle and Villa games gutted he is. But I would rather be in cape cod.
Spied on a couple of Villa forums and pretty much all of their fans think they'll win comfortably; most saying by two, but a handful predicting 4-0. A lot seemed to be based purely on our finishing 18th last season (though finishing 19th doesn't seem to have affected Huddersfield much so far). I'm a little undecided - though the level of performance against both Norwich and Newcastle shouldn't be discounted, ultimately we lost both, without creating many chances. McCormack is a reliable goalscorer, so would be a good bet to score in my mind, but we'll see whether Villa's defence is as organised as what we've seen over the past two league games. I'll predict 1-1, though I would particularly like to see a win. Of all the clubs to have come down, Villa fans seem to (on the whole) be quite derogatory of the Championship and expect to breeze past most teams, so I wouldn't mind seeing them struggle.
I too have been spending time here browsing their forums and you are right - they think they'll turn us over with no trouble at all. 4-0 to Villa is a frequent prediction. Let's hope we don't make it as boring for them as they seem to think it's going to be! Some interesting references too to past games - back before 1982 - a lot of fighting apparently - but wasn't every club doing that back then?
just got back home 1543 1-0 down and then looked at the team sheet and thought ...what the **** is going on ... first thoughts were what that Barnsley poster said OK FOR A WHILE BUT LOSES THE PLOT, gets a team settled and then it all goes pear shaped ...hopefully not... ps currently 15th pps now 6th...
Did you enjoy your 4-0 win Villa fans? Oh, ....... Wait ....... The complacent bunch of idiots - welcome to the championship.
Completely different team second half, first half was ****e and less said the better, Gary O'Neil was my man of the match, bossed the midfield second half
Up to 60 mins, it was a matter of luck that it was still only 1-0. The ref I think was the same one that did the Newcastle game. I don't think that I have seen a team contribute to their own downfall so much after we equalised. 7 bookings but at least 3 were for dissent under the new rules and I am surprised there weren't one or two more. Great atmosphere again and a cracking through ball from Tammy for Bryan's goal. Tomlins free kick was just a beauty brought about by their 7th booking
He was the only one with any credit first half too.. My mate reckons he rubbish and Pack is way better!! Funny old world.
Why do we play ****e every first half? Perhaps LJ should deliver his half time dressing room bollocking before the start of the game?!!
Was it your mate who tweeted 20man to say O'Neil is not a patch on Pack? If so he's going to be gutted, Pack might be off to Ipswich
I like Pack he's a good player and improves consistently.. I don't get the Korey love in myself, he's a good player no doubt but I thinks he's overhyped.. Each to their own??
I agree with you. Smith is good but not the main man. Pack must be our most improved player. Reid is the one who I think will give way when Smith is fully fit again
