Great idea... The Tigers have arranged a special live screening of our Sky Bet Championship fixture against Cardiff City later this month for those supporters unable to make the midweek trek to the Welsh Capital. A few hundred fans are expected to make the trip to South Wales on Tuesday 15th September, but for those unable to commit to one of the longest away journeys of the season the KC Stadium will be the place to be to see if Steve Bruce’s side can maintain their positive start to the new season. The Club has sought special permission from The Football League to beam the game back to the Kingston Suite at the KC, where former Tigers Dean Windass and John Hawley will be your hosts for the evening. The match, which kicks-off at 7.45pm, will be shown live on our large projector screen with a full bar facility available throughout along with hot food including Hull Pie, hot dogs, pizza as well as crisps and confectionary. Matchday programmes will also be available to buy. Entry is priced just £5 for adults and £1 for under 18s with 350 places available. Tickets for the event will be available to buy online at www.tigerleisure.com and from our new self-service ticket machine in Tiger Leisure (KC Stadium) from this coming Friday. Remaining match tickets for the game at the Cardiff City Stadium go on general sale from Thursday. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...cardiff-trip-2666400.aspx#exyys7kOFrx2Cias.99
Credit where credit is due, not sure 350 will be enough space mind, probably better off opening the West Stand and showing it on one of the big screens.
It's no good outside unless you get at least a couple of thousand and that's not going to happen, I think they'll be fine in the Kingston Suite.
Great idea. Sadly I will be at the game in person. My first TT trip of the season. Well done to all who have made this happen. Matchday programmes as well. Quality.
As seems to be the norm with the football fixture compilers these days, one of Hull City’s longest trips of the season – to Cardiff City – has been scheduled for a Tuesday evening. HCST are pleased to learn therefore that the club have taken the very sensible step of approaching the Football League for permission to beam the game back to the KC Stadium. It’s a move that will allow many more supporters access to the otherwise non-televised game and we congratulate the club on their initiative. This isn’t the first “beamback” at the KC but it is the first one for a while. Fans may well recall gathering in the Airco Arena to watch the historic victory over Yeovil Town that sealed promotion in 2004 or in the stadium itself for the key victory at Tranmere Rovers a year later. The Cardiff City game will be shown on Tuesday 15th September in the Kingston Suite at the KC Stadium with a 7:45pm kick off time. 350 tickets will be available, priced £5 for adults and £1 for U18, from Friday athttp://www.tigerleisure.com/ Fans can also purchase tickets from Friday through the new self-service ticket machine the club are trialling in the Tiger Leisure store at the stadium. This is another fine idea that will help make purchasing tickets at the stadium more convenient for supporters. The club have announced that ex-Tigers Dean Windass and John Hawley will host the evening, the bar will be open and hot food and match programmes will be on sale. This is a good opportunity for fans who would otherwise have been unable to see the game to follow The Tigers progress. Hopefully if it’s a success – and we sincerely hope the club are rewarded for their efforts – then it could be repeated for some other long-distance or popular trips. http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/cardiff-city-vs-hull-city-beamback/
Thought this deserved its own thread rather than be added to a beamback thread from 2 years ago for a different team..... http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/cardiff-city-vs-hull-city-beamback/ As seems to be the norm with the football fixture compilers these days, one of Hull City’s longest trips of the season – to Cardiff City – has been scheduled for a Tuesday evening. It already had one, I just cocked up and posted on an old one instead of this one, I'll move it over.
So there's 3 announcements in this thread, about the same thing. ****it, I'm going back to the Swansea one, that's the cool one anyhow.
I've now booked three tickets for this event (and one for a Swansea event I seem to have missed). Furious doesn't cover it.
Bastard, I'm setting off to Cyprus for a couple of weeks on the 15th or I'd definitely have been at this. Great idea City, please don't make it the only time you do it this season.
