Rowe for defensive midfield? And cover for anywhere in defence. Maybe just looking for an attacking centre mid aka sam Saunders.

Saw in the BFP yesterday that GA reckons Rowe will become a very good midfielder, still think we need another there and would love Saunders back but would he be willing to sign on loan for a full season?

Some good business so far. You can tell Gaz is no mug. Hence the 3 yr deal for Rowe and only 1yr for Banton. He knows the risks and I'm sure will freeze him out if he doesn't get with the work ethic. Clubs like ours with no funds for more established players have t take the odd risk - look at Cowan Hall and even Holloway.
Defence and forward line is good. As Mowgli said, we just need a bit of centre mid quality to finish it off. This may end up coming as a loanee and even Saunders may return. Guess that depends on his position in the pecking order with the new Brentford manager.

I wouldn't be surprised if we are now done with permenant transfers (other than replacing a player if he leaves, still very quiet on the ingram front) and the central midfielder(s) than we need are loanees. As for saunders and nico I think they will both be trying to get into the Brentford team, but if by mid-September they find opportunities limited hopefully they will come back to us!

Brentford have signed 4 midfielders so far this summer so might be looking to offload a few.

I didn't check for signings yesterday so missed this one a good right back / right mid who can fill in at left back or holding midfield

Thanks Guy. Does "Contracted until 2016" mean until the end of this season or end of next season?

It is looking good, what would be your first 11

    Ingram
    Sido. Pierre. Stewart. JJ
    Rowe
    Banton Max. Wood
    Hayes
    Holloway

I would love to see Saunders come in for max, otherwise pretty happy.

Harriman in for Max would make me happier, can see him in the role Josh Scowen played, not much point in getting someone on loan for 6 months and leaving him on the bench as he was playing every game at Luton last season who were desperate to sign him but QPR wanted too much money for him.

That might not be a bad shout, or Harriman in for Rowe and get someone who is creative in for that slot. Or even go for a 4-3-3

I think it's down to their financial muscle this year and their change of manager who has more than proven himself at this level and the league above (Pompey that is)

Saw today on the sky news transfer rumour that we are looking at signing a young 16 yr old forward from Evertons Youth Academy. His name is Sam Crumb, he is apparently a pacey forward. - Could be complete tosh, but could be another youngster for Ainsworth to develop to our benefit for the season

Most of these rumour pages tend to be utter rubbish unfortunately, but we have got some names from the trailists in the last friendly. Former west ham and acccrington striker Sean Maguire scored the goal in the defeat to avalance, and Luke O'nien from watford
