ST prices are going to increase by 10-15%. Can't say I'm surprised TBH.

The early bird price of £499 for the safe standing area in the Northam is good value TBF and I might just move there.

Hmm, been frozen for six years and we were then the only relegated PL club to decrease prices this season, so I'd say it's a fair cop. Especially with the renovations.

Agreed. I'm not going to kick off about that given they've been more than generous in freezing then lowering prices in recent years. And you look at Forest who have risen their prices by 28% in some areas and I think Saints have minimised the price increase as much as they could.

A price increase, if we remain in this league, would be a bit of a tough pill to swallow to be honest.

If we don’t get promoted, a price increase plus forced movement of many season ticket holders is going to see a collapse in attendance I reckon.

I know many have advocated this move, but I think this will turn out to be a bad idea.

Personally it’s an increase of over £100 and we need to pick a new seat, it’s a hard sell if we don’t go up particularly when we are all feeling the pinch,

Not to say I don’t appreciate the price freeze and cheap seats over previous seasons, but that is what has allowed us to retain a good attendance this season, remove that and it will dissipate.

A safe standing section is welcome though, but I can see it being gappy, with many of the ‘hardcore’ probably flocking to surround the new away section.

Not for me TBH. I've really enjoyed going to St Mary's this season. And TBH I won't really notice the difference by using the 10 month payment plan.

How is yours increasing by £100 if it is a 10% increase - I didn't think had any season tickets at that price?

and you'll get a few divs that like to gob off to away fans knowing they are separated by police, but no chance will any hardcore fans that create atmosphere leave the Northam as it moves to standing - it's what "hardcore" football fans have wanted for years.

£359 for this season, minimum adult is £499 next unless I’ve read it wrong.

Nope, the £499 is in the safe standing section. Further down it says Saints anticipate a price rise of between 10-15%, depending on where you sit.

Yeh, that is how I read it as well. I paid £360 this season for a seat in what is now going to be the Family section so I am expecting to either make the choice myself to move to the Safe Standing section and pay £499 or the club offer me a seat somewhere else for between £400 and £420 (so 10-15% increase on last year).

I've decided to go safe standing. With getting a pay rise recently and the payment plan, I can afford £500.

Sounds like we are in the same boat.

I read it as the club saying prices will rise by an average of 10%-15% (as in our prices no longer exist, it will be 10-15% on top of existing prices elsewhere in the stadium) not that they would guarentee us a price in that range, but we will see.

Fingers crossed though, because it could actually be a much larger increase than £499 if so.

After having mulled this over for a bit I’m now of the opinion that this will work if we are promoted, but I’m not sure it’ll work in the Championship, because it is reliant on maximum fan buy in.

The club has balls for trying it though.

Yeah but do those cheap seats even still exist? The family section is now in that space and there's no mention of it being relocated. And I don't see where else it'd go as all the corners are taken up and they're not gonna stick it in the side stands. Only feasible place as far as I can see is the Chapel.

May be wrong but I'm definitely reading this as those cheap season tickets won't exist anymore which means those people will be paying a much larger increase than the one advertised.

I think 10-15% is too big in an increase in the current financial climate personally and a bit of a piss take.

Bur then football ceased to be a working class sport many years ago so I'm not surprised.

Myself being one of those. I fully expect those cheap seats to disappear. It's a shame because they were great value for money but at the same time, I was expecting the safe standing area to be much more expensive than £500.

Yeah attendances will definitely collapse if we don't go up imo. Will average around 23-25k I reckon unless we storm the league.

Yeah I know you are and as am I. The point being that those people are likely to be paying a comfortably bigger than 15% increase.

If thar is the case too I'd go as far as saying the club are being rather dishonest about it by excluding those from the percentage as the seats won't exist anymore.

We'll see what happens. Should it transpire though that I'm looking at an 120-150 quid increase to renew then I'll find that hard to justify personally.
