I for one am looking forward to the Copa starting later, not a bad opening game: Chile v Ecuador, a couple of our former loanees will surely feature. Chile will be hoping to do well as host nation, I'm just hoping Peru make it out of their group!

Couldn't believe BBC mucked up fixtures, see pic! Bolivia actually play Mexico tomorrow!!! image.jpg

I think Chile will win it. I'm looking forward to this as there is no other football going on this summer. This is a great tournament, loads of quality on show and done and dusted in three weeks. The KO times are also good for us night owls. Perfect.

It's on América Televisión, state channel here in Peru so pretty sure you can find a stream for that. Chile looking slick, 3 at the back, Isla playing in front of them on the right (sigh!), no Vargas. Sanchez should have scored already, Ecuador defending well and coming back into it.

    Chile 0-0 Ecuador

You can certainly see why Mauricio Isla ended up at Juventus. He's been terrific at right wing-back for Chile. I'm not sure why he didn't do more for QPR to be honest.

    Aaaaaaargh!!!

Isla and Vargas are quality players.
It's nothing short of criminal that we didn't utilise their talent!

I fear a couple of their older less talented team mates scuppered their time here, along with **** management. Started with 'we don't like 3-5-2, and we aren't even going to try to play it'

I would also guess at Barton and Hll

Barton was our worse signing in recent history said it from day one
    He ruins football clubs

    Gone now

Has Hill taken up his contract offer? Still a chance the self righteous one will jog on.

Peru holding Brazil 1 1 at HT. Neymar got booked for scooping up the foam before taking a free kick, class!

The defending from David Luiz for the Peru goal deserved hanging.

Peru certainly holding their own. Venezuela were excellent I thought. Really opens up this group.

great chance to go through though still with the Venezuela result, maybe even as second place. You'd expect the other teams to take a worse hit on their goal difference when they play Brazil.

Well even two draws could get you third place and through. No reason why you can't give both Colombia and Venezuela a good game.
