Are you thinking of taking the leap into ownership Simon? Some nice types to get involved with there and Master trainer Paul Nicholls to train, bound to have some success. Nice to see Maracudja cruise around today, could be a big improver over fences the coming seasons.
STH, you can't stop a man from dreaming ! The chance to co-own a horse trained by Nicholls would be superb, but I think the reality is that will only happen if the numbers come up. ( or I get lucky on a silly Crowley and De Sousa accumulator ) It sounds like a very professional set up and I shall be watching with interest, especially as they have got off to a flyer with Maracudja who we both enjoyed watching yesterday.
£130k a year for training the cheapest horse in the syndicate, £320k in fees for the dearest. Holy **** can see why Nicholls has piled on the pounds down the years, that's insane dosh
£18k a year we pay Michael and he picks up all the vet bills too! Ok we won't be going to Cheltenham but we are having fun and not being ripped off.
It would be interesting to know many individual horses get to the track each year, and what percentage of them earn 15 thousand or more during that period.
Another winner for the syndicate - Coillte Lass picks up £2,599 for winning a maiden hurdle at Hereford.

We now know exactly what it is that is holding Garo back " " another horse to keep their eye firmly on in the shape of Volpone Jelois, who will more than likely take his chance at Exeter on Sunday in a juvenile hurdle. " " Look forward another day and you’ll find Jessber’s Dream is entered at Kempton, a mare I’m sure plenty of people are looking forward to. Paul has taken his time to get to know her at home in her training and if she does run on Monday she won’t be fully revved up to win with bigger targets in mind further along the line as historical evidence suggests she is much, much better in the spring."
