I want to slam David Moyes head off the pavement. Useless Scottish prick. I hope we come back at the earliest attempt, because ultimately you need success on the football pitch to revive your fortunes. @Sammy's Silky Skills good to see you around, mate. Hope you're keeping well
Us , Boro , and Hartlepool are making sure your dream of NE domination won't come true. Poor time to be a NE football fan.
Don't see why not, Benitez has already taken them down once and they're as ****e now as they were then, more so in fact. It depends how much they spend and who they spend it on, Benitez is a fraud in my opinion but let him spend enough and they'll probably stay up.
He's managed top sides but they never want to keep him and he always gets sacked and he ends up at Newcastle which hasn't been a prestigious job for a long time. Isn't good enough to keep them in the premier league and has to spend a fortune to scrape promotion. Is notoriously thin skinned and prone to embarrassing outbursts, generally seen as a bit of a goon. Overall not a manager I rate.
The question about Benitez is interesting; I don't think that the problem is with Rafa but with the chairman/owner. The same problem exists as we know at Sunderland. To be honest, even with the best will in the world, I can't see Sunderland coming back at the end of the next season. Newcastle found it a lot harder than the previous return and have, frankly, just scraped promotion. Last time Newcastle tore the league apart but not this time and if they go down again at the end of next season then, like a man going under for the third time, won't resurface. It's a poor time for both of our clubs. I strongly believe that Sunderland will be going for Seven in a Row in two season's time: in the Championship.
I'm far from convinced that Benitez (or anyone) can keep us up next season but fraud is a bit strong! His honors list is pretty impressive: In Liverpool I'm yet to meet a single fan who doesn't rate him. I'm struggling to think of a manager we've had in the past decade who we would talk about in such glowing terms (Hughton perhaps). Still would make us one of the 3 favourites for relegation but I think he's our best chance and we've got more possibility of conning good players to come.
His signing of players is very hit and miss, so far I'm 'satisfied' with his tactics. They've certainly been better than any of our last few managers. 'bog standard' is a huge step up.
