This will be the third time in five seasons that Rovers and Leeds have met in the League Cup. The side playing away from home have won five of the last six encounters between these two sides, including each of the last three. At least that bodes well for Leeds Leeds are full of early season promise, but we all know that local derbies, especially Cup games are full of upsets. Rovers winger N'Guessan is out but ex Leeds midfielder Paul Keegan, who spend 5 years at Elland Road, having come through the ranks of many successful Leeds footballer's Home Farm, Ireland could return after missing the final two months of last season. Striker Nathan Tyson may start after coming off the bench on Saturday. Rosler needs to decide whether to risk Luke Murphy who only underwent knee surgery just over a month ago. Stuart Dallas will start as he looks to build his fitness. Antenucci is also expected to start having scored a worldie last weekend that should have seen Leeds gather all three points. It is expected that Rosler will give game time to some of the younger players. In particular, I am looking forward to seeing how Coyle and Walters are improving. At 6/4, surely this is a bet worth while?
More importantly. According to the aa it will cost £11.78 to get from Leeds to Donny and back. Be careful if parking near the ground the shopping centre next to the ground have evil wardens.
Morning Everyone, Thought I'd blend both the match thread and the Breakfast thread together today, as the only real topic is tonight's match. Is anyone here going? Bit Bizarre having a Thursday night kick off , can't remember the last time we had one, can you? Leeds are great value for money at 13/8. Agree?
-------------------------Turnbull------------------------ Coyle----------Cooper-----Wooton----------Taylor Irwin--------Sloth----------Phillips---------Dallas -----------Antenucci--------Walters--------------- That's the team I would like to see but Rosler is quite impressed with Doukara, so will play him up front with Antenucci. He will also give Murphy some game time but will be surprised if he starts with him.
I have just been told when was the last time we had a Thursday kick off : please log in to view this image Andrew Dalton @lufcstats 9 minutes ago @EllandBack1 Millwall play off semi final at Elland Road (that's excluding Xmas and Easter games)
Rosler isn't hiding away is he, he says we are up for it and will play a senior squad and go for a win in every game we play. Doncaster shouldn't expect to play a side who are not up for a fight. After seeing plenty of casualties so far Rosler isn't going to be one of them. Mind you he has to produce and so far I'm loving his attitude and hope it transfers to the lads. Murphy will get another 45 minutes/hour tonight
Morning all. Ideal scenario tonight. Donny game and US golf same time on two sky channels. Perfect for us armchair lot. Game gets a bit boring, flick to the golf. Up to Leeds now, do your stuff and I might even watch the full 90 minutes
Morning Doc, think it will be a mix of youth and experience. Don't expect to win a local derby 4 or 5 nil, but a 2-0 away win will do me fine....
can't fault her for that mate, especially when she realised she had been tampered with whilst unconscious
