Either of the Lisbon sides in the Europa? Discovered that beautiful city a couple of weeks ago and I'd love an excuse to go back.
My favourite city...loved Sintra and Belem as well. Just hoping that one day there will be flights from Southampton, so I could pop over for the weekend.
Talking of which, Koeman has gone quiet. Is he still here or will he soon post pictures from Portugal.
We stayed in Belem, just over the road from the monastery. Beautiful. Luckily Easyjet fly there from Bristol.
Hey! Saints could end up playing the first Europa tie against a Welsh team... unlikely but it's a possibility
Clearly a very talented player, but I am starting to think he is a one trick pony. Give him time and space, to cut in from the left, and he will curl in plenty of shots to the far corner of the goal, succeeding with many, but, for me, he doesn't do a lot when Liverpool don't have the ball. He went awol against Sevilla, even when Liverpool were on top. In some ways, he's a Brazilian Andros Townsend.
He has poor games, but my Red friends all rate him very highly (the same ones who think Lovren is only marginally better than a traffic cone so know what they are talking about!). BTW "You're just a Brazilian Andros Townsend" may not work as a chant, but it should! I always loved the "You should have signed for a big club" chant from the Northam when we beat them 3-1 under Poch.
or a Serbian team! (but seriously if it's Red Star or Partizan I wouldn't bother boys and girls) If it's FK Vojvodina definitely come.
Not quite sure what's going on there, there are still a lot of qualifying rounds to be played before we know what's what.
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/518134/Europa-League-Manchester-United-Southampton List of the 16 clubs already through to the Europa group stages. I'm proud that Saints are in that company....arriving directly and not through qualifying.
How difficult do you think it will be to get tickets for European away games? Would any season ticket holder be likely to secure some if they wanted?
Thought as much. How did they do it last season against in the two away games, in terms of how many tickets could each season ticket holder purchase?
only 1 ticket per season ticket holder for home games. Away Europa games started with season ticket holders who had been to 15 away games and then worked down from there. One ticket per qualifying season ticket holder. On the third day there was approx. 200 tickets left when I qualified... missed out on the trip to Arnhem as I was in a customer meeting at 9am when that last batch went on sale This time I am hoping we get a team where one of my European colleagues can get tickets for me.
Hoping I get an opportunity to go to one. Being in the group stages gives everybody multiple attempts which is good. I have friends who have been to multiple away games that wouldn't be going abroad so there is a chance I could use their tickets.
I want to get to one/some this time. I have a customer 45 minutes away from the Danish lot who beat us, but couldn't go!
