Hey up there mate, Just a few questions I would like to ask

    - Whats the difference between a scooter and a moped ?

    - From what I can gather if you've held a car license from before Feb/2001 you
don't need to do the CBT thing, Is this right ?

    - How much can I expect to pay for tax and insurance ?

    - Will a scooter support 17 1/2 stone of solid yorshireman ?

I'm off to the Shetlands for several months next week and thought I might pick up a used moped while I'm there for bombing around on but for all I know they might be like rocking horse **** up there, I will have a look anyway. Grateful for any info, Cheers.

Don't you need to do a bike theory test nowadays?

As far as I know, you just need to take your CBT(compulsory basic training), though I did forget to mention that if you're driving on a CBT you need to have L plates on, which is a bit ****.
