It's off to Meadow Lane for the Chairboys for an encounter against the Magpies who are into their forth manager of the season a record Massimo Cellino would be proud of, their record on the pitch since they visited Adams Park in mid December has not been good having picked up only 11 points out of a possible 48 which would be relegation form in most seasons, but this season 44 points should see you safe and the Magpies have gathered 40 points so far. Gaz will be without the services of Sam Wood (knee) Mat Bloomfield (illness) and Marcus Bean (ban) and may freshen up the forward line as he had three forwards on the bench on Saturday and only one was used late in the second half. This is a game we must be looking to pick up maximum points from to maintain our position in the playoff places and I expect the lads to score at least two goals and achieve an away win for the first time since early February
I thought I'd return Bluebaldee's intelligent line in banter....... Come on you Magpies........ I admire your optimism in wanting two goals Guywanderer.
2 goals might be possible as we haven't seen anything from our regular scorer Mr O Goal lately. I do agree that it is a must win if we are to be real playoff contenders.
A 1-0 win will do for me. Maybe a change up front is needed with the younger strikers being given a chance as the older ones just aren't doing enough to justify a starting place at the moment.
Thompson and Hayes must be due a goal each against a team that slipping goals for fun if either of them play if it's Liburd and Sellers we could get a hat full that's as long as it's a small hat if it's Gozie maybe 1-0
I guess it's tricky to leave people out when we are winning, plus when Hayes is out we can't ever seem to find the net. Maybe Hayes in the middle with Liburd and Gozie either side. It could work with a solid midfield.
LINE UP: Allsop, McCarthy, Jacobson, Pierre, Stewart, Harriman, McGinn, Kretzschmar, Thompson, Hayes, Ugwu #NOTvWYC
Luke out with an injury is a big loss,Max replaces him so time for him to prove he's worth keeping on at the end of the season.
The Sky reporter at the game said "Wycombe are offering nothing up front" Now Ugwu is replaced by Liburd.
Decent point considering we had 5 midfielders out injured or suspended,we are now 3 points above Orient who lost 2-0.
It has to be a missed chance to pull away from the teams below us especially with our last three games against teams all above us.
I agree. That no penalty decision could have cost us a play off place. Thanks to a wonder save by Allsop in injury time, we are still in with a chance
Two points dropped in my opinion Gozzie starting was a mistake the overall stats has it even but County were well on top before Liburd came on
I have realised that my other half is right and I am going bonkers. I put a comment on this thread addressed to Bluebaldee when I actually meant it to go on the Bristol cause that's where he usually lives. Somewhere in my head it got mixed up so sorry about that chaps. Nobody picked me up on it probably because you all thought is was some criptic clue thing. Either that or you already agreed with my Mrs.....
