"Secrets in their eyes", an alright film, I though Julia Roberts was a bit wood-en-y in it, but all in all, a cpl of hours not wasted.....
Had quite a bit of enforced idle time on my hands recently so have been watching far more films than I have for a long time. Among the best of recent films I watched were:- Trumbo - Hollywood blacklisting of suspected commie sympathisers. Ex Machina - Testing the Turing test. Everest - Adventure/disaster based on true events. Legend - Great period settings but adding little to the well known story. All available from the usual sources. (Cough)PB(Cough) The billions of $ spent making **** films is incredible. **** films should be cheap and can still be good. Put the ****ing glasses on!
Just watched " a Belfast story", with one of my two favourite Irish actors in it, colm meaney, the other who unfortunately isn't in this film is Brendon Gleason(one of my top 5 favourite actors), both fantastic actors. I quite liked "a Belfast story" it was good but not brilliant.
Sorry forgot to post the film I watched earlier. Day43, film 43 was " suspect zero" With arron eckhart, Ben Kingsley and Carrie-Anne moss(matrix fame) one of the Most ****able women wearing leather I've ever seen..films not bad either..... It's a crime thriller.. Serial killer thriller.... Try saying that when pissed..
Day 44, film 44, "my all American", Aaron eckhart Again, based on a true story of an American footie star. The lad that plays him is one of the two that get brad Pitt In the big short to help them get a deal...
finally got around to The Big Short , got to say I really didn't enjoy a moment of it , the dialog was mumble mumble mumble , so much that I was expecting Seth Rogan to make an appearance. The cuts in the edits were distracting too , it's as if the movie was trying to make you feel uncomfortable watching it.
"My all American", typical American football film, I enjoyed it though, at least the bible bashes were At a minimum.
Finally got round to watching Fast n Furious 7 last night. Excellent action film, did exactly what I expected with some amusing and cool looking stunts. Touching tribute at the end too.
Yeah I know what you're saying about The Big Short, I enjoyed it but it was as if the producers or directors weren't willing to make it an easy watch.
Part 6 of my Coen Brothers watch was True Grit, watched it last night when I got back from City. Although it doesn't feel like a typical Coen film, it is still a superb film, I much prefer it to the original, Jeff Bridges is ace in it. One more Coen film to go - not sure whether to do Inside Llewyn Davis or see Hail, Caesar! again.
day 45, film 45...R.I.P.D, haven't seen it yet as I thought it looked crap, but someone told me its not that bad... Well here goes....
Burnt ,,,,,starring Bradley Cooper and exc produced by marcus wareing and gordon ramsey just porn if into masterchef n that
"R.I.P.D", I quite enjoyed it, funny in parts, mr bridges is quality, not a bad use of a cpl hours of my time....
Day 46, film 46, going with "crash" tonight, Haven't seen it in a while, loved it when I First saw it, terrence Howard who's the Film director in it, is a quality actor and I think it was Matt Dillon's best performance. Sandra bullock is also very good...
I loved it, I liked the tangled stories that interwind The cop that kills the detectives brother is the Arrogant rich prick in the Lincoln lawyer, Loved that film also...
