The Chairboys travel to Kingsmeadow for their 44th league game of the season to take on the Wombles in another must win game in this epic promotion battle that looks like going down to the wire. After the heroics of Tuesday night at Adams Park Gaz has to use all his managerial skills and bring in the top phyio's to get the walking wounded patched up and back on their feet and maybe dusting off his boots to take a seat on the sparsley filled away bench in fact likley to be the only empty seats at Kingsmeadow on Saturday. This is a game I would have loved to have gone to but as I am at work until 2pm I've not got a cat in hells chance of getting there also Tom has my ticket and promises to sing the lads on throughtout the game and on to victory and another three points in their quest for glory
If we don't have six outfield players to put on the bench I think we should fill the gaps with goalkeepers. Put both Lynch and Richardson on the bench - I know the odds on losing 2 keepers in one game is tiny but we might as well cover against it if we can.
No idea how many outfield players we will have after Tuesday night. Thing about Ainsworth is, is that he keeps things like this very close to his chest. It is unlikely that we will know anything much before Saturday afternoon. I can imagine the rallying team talk and only hope this is enough to see us through and get sowm life in to those tired players.
The lads must be fit to drop, almost. I hope they can get 3 points tomorrow but it's asking a bit much with the injury problems. Southend and Bury losing would be very helpful.
