I remeber around 1972 on boxing day being 4-1 down to Sheffield Wednesday and going for the train at Boothferry Park with about 7 minutes left. Sitting on the train waiting to go back to paragon station hearing all this cheering. wasn't till i got home that i discovered we'd drawn 4-4. A bit different from leaving at half time in disgust though.
Did you see his face as he claimed, yet again, not to have seen the sending off? The sooner these Arsenal Foreign Legion types fookoff out of our game the better. And NO! I don't care how pretty their football is!
The " super" geordies were leaving after half an hour, not with ten minutes to go like the Sheff Weds game on boxing day 1970.
This is why I would never leave a game early, would be so gutted to miss the last minute equaliser or winner.
