There's a stat that, whenever Gouff has played this season we have won. The lad has knuckled down and really performing. For me, I'd play him over Perez on the left with Ritchie on the right. Ironically both were on the score sheet last night.....
Gouff should've played on Saturday, the way he's playing atm he's got to start against Villa. Gouff, Mitro, Perez and Ritchie should all start, not sold on Gayle yet, stick him on the bench for Villa.
Le Gouff - P7 W7. There's a very real danger he's going to become folklore. I heard when Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone he had 3 missed calls from Gouffran. In the next game he could become a legend - in the 17th minute, he can just look at the crowd, finger on lips and stop this really annoying clapping. I mean, I don't want to sound heartless, it was a terrible tragedy, but enough is enough - I'm fairly sure the family have even come out and said "thanks, but that'll do".
When Gouf came in he was alright, but with time he became "Pardewed" a diagnosis that was thought to be incurable, but after being prescribed some Rafa, Goufran has since been “Rafa’d” and a full recovery made!
I remember when he came to us, I though he was quite good, worked hard and set up goals and occasionally chipped in himself. Then he was Pardewed and I grew to hate him, but perhaps I was being unfair in under-estimating the negative effect of Pardew;s tactics. I am pleasantly surprised by him this season so far. Its like Rafa has told him to go and show the fans that we were wrong about him, and so far he is doing that. Fair play to the lad!!!
The family did indeed mate. I don't clap and those that do seem to do it a bit half heartedly if truth be told. Time to move on.
I still clap, but respect those that choose not to. I don't get angry one way or the other about the applause. What i will say is that after that 17th minute it lifts the crowd as they roar into the 18th. That I do like
