It is unclear when Richards will be fit enough to return to action, so Ward may turn to winger Ellis Harrison as temporary stop-gap after moving him up front during the second-half vs Plymouth. Ward said: "I can see us using Ellis like that again, although I don't know when, because it leaves me a bit young in wide areas. I knew we needed pace at the top of the pitch and we hadn't got it elsewhere. He took a pretty hefty knock to the thigh and that was a shame because he had certainly threatened their backline." Taken from The Post.
So we are lacking pace up front so Ward rectifies this by moving Harrison upfront. This will mean we are now very short out on the wings. Santos & Hunter and then Lockyer who can play there but that dont feel me with confidence. Who exactly will be providing the service to the forwards??
Harrison was CF all through the youth ranks. It's only since he broke into the first team squad that he's been played primarily as a winger.
