Yep! That's just him though! I don't like to call our players and good as he is, but I can't be the only one who thinks he's a bit of a knob?
His assist for our first was so sweet, he'd had a great game and was enjoying himself. He wants to play and I for one also want him to play, especially when we have two up front.
Threw his sock straps down in a strop as he left the pitch - at least he gets 90 minutes at Everton unless Silva puts Diomante on for a laugh
Doubt it - Mbokani out for another 4 or 5 weeks - the way Niasse is playing I can't see him being dropped in favour of Abel and Mbokani - I don't think Mbokani has really done enough
I wasn't at all surprised that Abel was pissed off about being pulled, he finally had a strike partner and had started enjoying himself. Still the right decision though.
I called the Meyler for Hernandez sub about 10 minutes before it was made. It was the obvious sub. It's fair to say I give Abel his share of stick, when it's deserved, and to be honest i thought he struggled to have an impact on the whole yesterday, but it was a hell of a pass for the first goal and just as importantly it wasn't one of his moody, half arsed performances. I can live with him being moody about coming off if he's given his all. We need him to keep it up. Next week will be a real test with only him on his own against a good defence.
i want people to be 'moody' when subbed give it all on the pitch and be pissed cos you dont wanna come off
I thought he grafted his bollocks off yesterday. Like someone else commented, no issues at all with him being moody or an arse. It shows he cares about his performance and maybe wanted a goal for himself. His link up play with Niasse was superb.
Hernandez's attitude pisses the **** out of me. He's another merchant. I don't even think he's that good. Scored 20 odd goals recently but His chances missed to goals ratio is probably quite poor. His qualities are speed and can get into good positions but his shooting is poor as ****. Some of his goals are scuffed shots. We don't need pissed off players right now. This is a group effort, not a shop window for one player.
He was very good yesterday. Ran hard, harried, chased, busy... Little ball of use, but no lack of effort.
This was commented on at the time yesterday, on the match day thread. I appreciate players who want to play and as a former player, I always hated being taken off even when it was the correct strategic decision.
So we know "He scores goals", "He has speed", "He get's into good positions", But you don't like that kind of striker?
You've got to think of team morale kemps. How do you think Mbokani feels knowing Abel's like that!! Or Dio.
