I blame Allam anyway Dutch. He's tied up in it in some way. I can tell. And thats good enough for me.
It's a tricky one and no mistake. Is Ash a legend or an Allam clone? Or did they perhaps work in what they feel is the best interest of all concerned?
I think they've said Conference North. Might be wrong. Jamie Waltham posted a bit more of an explanation on Facebook last night. The lifetime passes are indeed staying and he seems happy with Ashbee and the others involved. Sounds from his post like he actually chose to leave and went to the HDM to highlight some worries he had about future decisions that were out of his hands, the passes being the main one, which the club have since allayed apparently (again according to his post). He really is a top bloke. Seems a bit more positive than it seemed at first but a shame he's not gonna be involved any more.
Hull United AFC Due to recent events and developments, Hull United AFC have appointed Gareth Williams of GWH Solicitors LLP as our legal representatives and will be releasing a statement in due course. In the meantime the club would like to reassure fans that there is no truth in free passes been stopped, the values of the club have not changed.
Dunno why they needed to share that about the solicitor. There's a lot more stuff I'd rather know. The last sentence is good though.
It's very deliberately thrown in there. Seems at odds with Waltham's own comments which paint a much more amicable picture.
It's kicking off... HULL UNITED AFC Today's game is unable to go ahead, Boothferry Park LTD of which Jamie Waltham is a director and claims owns the ground, have locked Hull United AFC out of Dene Park and requested the club does not use their facility, after the club failed to meet Boothferry Park Ltd’s unreasonable requests. Mr Waltham claimed Bootherry Park LTD owned Dene Park and wrote Hull United AFC an 85 year lease for £13,000 per year on 1st October 2014. Mr Waltham last night at 6pm requested the club to sign a new lease for £26,000 a year, stating if this was not completed before 10am today Hull United AFC would be locked out of Dene Park. The club refused to sign anything until been approved by our legal representatives, with the club already been granted a lease once by Mr Waltham. Which is now claimed to be void. The club also feels the fee is unreasonable. The club made contact with Melvyn Anderson of Dene Park Holdings Ltd yesterday who confirmed he was the owner of Dene Park. Mr Anderson confirmed Boothferry Park Ltd had been granted a 1 year lease on Dene Park, and could not possibly write and 85 year lease. Leading Hull United to seek legal advice and appoint Gareth Williams GWH Solicitors LLP as our legal representative. Boothferry Park Ltd yesterday stated they had completed the purchase of Dene Park, but speaking to Mr Anderson at 8pm last night, the completion had not been confirmed, and Mr Anderson was still the legal owner of Dene Park. This has put the clubs position in the league in jeopardy Please be reassured we are doing everything we can to resolve this issue and are looking for a new ground. A club statement will be released shortly Regards Ian Ashbee Hull United AFC Chairman
To be fair, they were set up with a nod to City's history. This is just a bit further than I expected they'd go.
David Lloyd all over again, the next chapter will probably see Sir Adam riding in on his white charger, and within months they'll probably be moving into a £43M stadium, and up the leagues. You heard it here first.
