Shocked to see Derby County heirarchy are equally as clueless as ours and have sacked Paul Clement. Someone I remember saying we should take a chance on when we let go of McInnes. If only we had waited another week, I believe he would have been an excellent choice. Fantastic pedigree and has learned coaching all the right ways from some impressive people.
Something was not right there, they stated that promotion was not their number one goal but sacked him because he was not the Derby way. Perhaps he was the big I am and went about with an attitude or perhaps they are like you say clueless. But a 46% win record is not to be sniffed at. Be interesting to see if the same thing happens with his next appointment.
Listening to fans on TalkSport it would appear his brand of football is similar to that of Moyes at Everton. Slow building from the back and not fast free flowing attacking like they are used to, and they think he lost the dressing room namely the big money signings.
Derby have spent BIG and have to get in the Premier League otherwise they are in trouble - still poor to sack him though
this is very puzzling indeed .. .. .. quote things like just finishing bottom pays you £90m then what about parachutes? still get them? then extra gate receipts etc etc .. sorry we do not want that, you are sacked ..
and now Rotherham have just signed up Warnock to manage them. A brilliant move by Rotherham, very bad news for City, and another boat sails out of the harbour. Cant help feeling our 'posturing' board have made a proper pigs dick of it once more
Agreed. I also have it on reasonably good authority that we were very close to signing Matt Smith permanently before the transfer window closed, and with everything agreed between the parties and then our board pulled out of the deal. Now personally I'm not Smiths greatest fan, but if this is true then it's another insight into how we operate.
Don't understand the love in for Warnock. He is a dinosaur his last couple of jobs haven't been successful and his has just has many relegations on his CV than promotions. Like I said before Johnson isn't my first choice but I take him every day of the week over Warnock
