Thought we were given a pretty easy-looking start last season. Look how that turned out.

We have to play them all so it really doesn't matter how they come. We need 40 points minimum

I thought it was better than previous seasons, but our preperation was abysmal, and we walked into the games with our eyes closed, I dont expect us to be so naive under Big Sam. One of these promoted teams needs to fill the void left by our benefactors up the road <laugh>, Boro would be nice but even better would be Hull City, we owe them big time. <ok>. I still think the timing of games can make one hell of a difference though, the fixtures between Newcastle and Spurs last season are a point in case. But as you say we have to play them sometime, but a good start is long overdue.

I always look at the last 3 or 4 games, hoping they'll be meaningless, but worrying. . . . .

They always mean something to us idiots.

I am idiot enough this time to hope I am looking at them to see if we can qualify for the Europa League!

Really, you can never tell these days about the end of season run in, with all the swings in form and the unpredictable effects of cup runs, manager roundabouts etc., but newly promoted teams away early on are ones to avoid imo. <ok>

Swing in form <whistle> ? perhaps, but no one saw it coming, at least we didn't and I include SAFC and myself in that, we were just unlucky to be in the wrong place etc. This happpened quite a lot last season for so many reasons, but the team, thanks to a brilliant second half to the season, overcame them all, Bobby hanging on to one last game at Everton, worked out well for us tho'. Swings or roundabouts. I'll settle for the magic carpet ride this season <bubbly>

    Aye any of those 3.

Someone who will be around our level but actually try and win the game.

WBA etc would just camp out for a 0-0.

When does the season actually start? I will be in UK with the Mrs, in August, and it would be great to take her to her second event at the SOL, she was quite chuffed last time beating the mags, whilst being almost frozen to death

Unlikely, we've been relegated so you wont get your first win until the season after.

Hell, if we get promoted and you get relegated you may never win another game.
