Might explain why the stewards have been overly zealous in trying to get everyone to sit down this season. Against Burton in the North Stand they were up and down the stairs, one of them's line was "I know you're going to tell me to piss off, but you have to sit down". Cue a chorus of stand up if you're Hull City. Some people on the back row were even nagged repeatedly to sit down so the breezeblock wall could see.
****ing hell. All that's wrong with the modern game this. Glad the clubs ****ed them off. Sounds like a right pair of twats. ****ing chancers. Surprised the Trust hasn't taken their cause up.
Of course mention all the away fans are stood up and the response is that area is nowt to do with them.
When we were evicted from the East Stand it was made clear the North stand would be the new "kop" and standing would be allowed.
Was never made clear to me. There's no standing in stadiums full stop. It's bad for your back, the Taylor report said that.. no barrier to lean on. Then get some drunken cretin dragging you all over the place when we score. No wonder my back is ****ed.
My back is OK i just have scars on both shins from celebrating over the years, I am sure the seat in front of me in the old E3 days was sharpened during the week.
It was discussed extensively at the time on here. The club made also numerous statements about the benefits of creating a "kop" and allowing standing. I would say that over the last three seasons it has been fairly obvious that those supporters in the North stand up during the match. I'm sorry about your back but there are plenty of seats which are predominantly just sitting elsewhere in the ground. There is room for to accommodate those who wish to stand and those that which to sit.
I haven't had a single call or email off them since I didn't renew my season ticket. I even rang up once to see if my old seat was still available, I didn't take it and never heard anything since either.
by stadium law as it stands ,, no standing whatsoever ... if they paid then it opens the door for a precedent which would mean double the stewards and all sat in your own personal booth ... it is a very good bullet dodged
We always sat in the South Stand for more than 90 minutes before moving to E3 so we could stand. It would have been ill-mannered to stand in the South when everybody else sat, so we paid the extra and moved.
Hmmm don't remember that at all. I do remember one of the ctwd urging others to join him in the new "zoo" as he called it in the north stand. It was like he'd asked the club to create a new north stand kop for him and the ultras and **** everyone else. Surely not
