The old group of death (group D) could be very interesting after today's games. Assuming Germany beat Georgia and Scotland beat Gibraltar it's up to Ireland to beat Poland to put Poland, Germany, Scotland and Ireland all on 10 points!

Scotland really need to win at least 10-0 to top the group

Steve Davis and Northern Ireland will keep their second spot with a win over Finland and will be looking very good if Greece pull off a win away to Hungary

Someone's worked things out better than me:
Jack R Davies: It's so tight in Group D. If Scotland win 10-1, Germany win 7-0 and Rep. of Ireland beat Poland 3-0 all the teams will be identical.
That would be a heck of an accumulator, Jack.

Is there a collective term for Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England?

It's not UK, GB, Britain, home nations?

Geographically, they are the British Isles, but that term wouldn't be used in any other context as Ireland is a separate country.

The British Isles Lions are the rugby team drawn from all those countries so there's a different context!
