Toivanen will play AM either part of a midfield or dropping deep part of a front three. Still a striker needed and if there's any pennies left a lb

I don't think we'll be in for a striker. Maybe he will make do with Defoe and Fletcher and use Lens or Toivonen as back up. Not forgetting we have Watmore and dare i say it Graham.
I def think ideally we need to off load a few and we all know who and bring in a striker and a left bk...but time is running out and we aren't even linked with a striker. Surely Borini isn't still on the back burner...but again he isn't an out and out striker..

I have to admit I'd lost interest before joining up with them, now I'm reading again there is some good stuff in there. Graeme Atkinson is a great writer.

It's picked up in the Summer, see how it goes as the season moves on. I know Fishpaste(it's his site) has taken a step back and left the writers to run, if you'll put your name to it, you can publish it. There's more writers now to with varying opinions so hopefully it will stay busy and pack some grit. They'll definitely have match preview again. I noticed back end of last season they'd stopped doing them.

I'd like @The Relic to write. Articles on the club's history, his memoirs so to speak. Think he would bring nostalgic charm.

Brilliant Bri, enjoying my retirement with a bit of travelling and looking after the grand kids, hope all is well with you and yours, by the way, you were spot on with Watmore and young Gooch was like a breath of fresh air on Tuesday.

If we can just sort the first team out we could be on the verge of a Golden Generation. Watmore, Gooch, Beadling, Agnew, Tom Robson and Honeyman should all be knocking on the door. But unless we get our act together they won't be risked.

After Sunderland Snub, Jonathan de Guzman Closes In On Permanent Bournemouth Move

After finally passing on the chance to join Sunderland on a season-long loan deal, Jonathan de Guzman is rapidly closing on a permanent switch to Bournemouth.

De Guzman did say yes in principle to joining Sunderland, however he then asked Napoli for further time to reflect on the deal and eventually chose to refuse a move to the Stadium of Light.

But he is still set to end up in the Premier League as, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, De Guzman is closing on heading to Bournemouth.

The Premier League new boys have offered Napoli €6.5m to sign De Guzman on a permanent basis.

The midfielder himself meanwhile has been offered a lucrative deal with the Cherries running until the summer of 2019.

What a twat he is showing himself up to be. It says more about him than us as a club. If he would rather play in front of 11,500 than over 40k. If he is prepared to sign a 5 year deal with them than our 1 year loan1

Not sure I blame him for playing it safe. Set for the next 5 years as opposed to not knowing what`s happening at the end of the season?

If we`d offered him the same deal and he chose them I`d agree with you.
    We didn`t.
