Harsh criticism; his opportunity has been limited. Do you really judge a player on the basis of what is spent on another? Really? Under the stewardship of Ehaw and MP? Not your wisest moment.
Because no one's judging Pogba based on a silly fee? It's always going to happen. My point wasn't so much to judge Marshall, but to suggest we could have spent a fraction to buy someone to be back up to Jak while McGregor recovered, and spent the money on full backs instead.
So, perhaps, there was a strong argument for staying with the in form GK? You were very strong in arguing differently at the time.
That would be Pogba being judged on the fee paid for Pogba, then? Try reading what I wrote and see if you are addressing the correct point or not.
Ah my mistake. I'm not quite sure what you mean then. I'm judging Marshall based on how much we paid, and Kuciak based on how he's performed and the expectations of the club not being met.
I think they're both good keepers, so personally, I'm not really arsed who starts. But as Jak played a blinder last night and there's increasing pressure from the fans to play Jak (and Phelan's already losing a lot of the fans), it's probably in his best interest to play Jak on Saturday.
David Burns @bbcburnsy Mike Phelan won't be drawn on whether Jakupovic starts for @hullcity on Saturday but admits his probably his biggest decision. #hcafc There's currently a poll on the HDM for who should start in on Saturday, Jakupovic has 85% of the votes. I think he will start.
Weird **** this year, for years we had no goalie, now we have **** loads & can't decide who's good, who's bad & who's genuinely ****e!
It would be unwise to drop after his performance. Same with the front two. Henandez almost scored the goal of the season.
At last you say something sensible about the bloody daft quandary MP has put himslf in by dropping the in-form GK for no good reason. I agree, it makes no sense, nor is it wise, except that, on balance, Jak has been the better GK, statiscally, athletically and inspirationally (fans and players) ... ... Until he has a bad game, in the normal way of things.
Goalkeepers sometimes make great saves. They're called 'great saves' because you wouldn't normally expect them to save such and such a shot. When they don't make that great save, nobody blames them. That's all as it should be. But sometimes keepers make 'great saves'. Jak's made loads of them for us. Marshall hasn't. It's correct to say none of the 87 goals he's conceded since he came here were his fault. But when is he going to make a 'great save'?
