Rowett has done a superb job at Birmingham. I can understand why he is being linked with other clubs.
and got Burton firmly on track before that. No doubt an up and coming manager who will take another step up at some point
What a carry on that is ffs, he gives them the ''I aren't coaching you set of bottling ****s'' blast before storming off, only to return less than a week later! What's he gonna say to win his players round? ''I didn't mean what I said, you're really a team of world beaters, I was only kidding'' ........ it obviously wasn't very good before, it's got to be ****e now.
The poor bloke just wanted a weekend off - he probably had a Laser Quest marathon and then nipped down to Whitby for fish and chips.
How does that work bringing him back into the fold? He said he didn't want to work with the players, didn't believe they wanted it as much as himself. He now goes back and says what? Prove me wrong; that's about his only option. Interesting to see if he picks Downing or Rhodes on Friday given he says (apparently) he didn't sign, nor wanted either? If they miss out again, I suspect it's simply holding off the inevitable until the end of the season.
He doesn't trust the players, the players don't trust him, I think this is a situation that is damaged beyond repair.
The thing that worries me is there will be so much focus on Boro on Friday that they play out of their skins. Also that City get caught up in their melodrama and forget they have their own job to do.
it would be nice to win tonight which is all we should be thinking about and then go there on Friday with a confident team and support after all we have our own problems which need addressing quickly. Lets sort ourselves out then get stuck into them
Karanka / Middlesboro issue is a plot line from such things as Coronation Street and Eastenders. Manager gets a strop on throws a hissy fit and walks out. After a cooling down few days owner begs manager to come back and he does. Pathetic. I bet the players, well some at least wont have any respect left for him. A divided dressing room awaits Karanka I bet.
