Hmm, an interesting read Jay. Good job I had my Jockish translation book handy. Lol!!! They don't mince their words up there do they? One of them said Cardiff was a sh!te place to go. I thought, Aberdeen? Look around you pal!!! And we're at least 10 degrees warmer.
Regarding Dai's comment, about 4/5 years ago there was a never ending stream of posts from Forest fans saying Whitts had signed for them. Always finishing with - FACT!!!! Funny, we never hear from them now and that is a FACT!!!!
2nd Jonny Hayes bid rejected by Aberdeen https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp...reject-second-offer-cardiff-city-jonny-hayes/
Unless Hayes has privately expressed to City an interest to come (or his wife wants to set up as a hairdresser in Cardiff - see Aberdeen link from Jay above) then we should move on to another target rather than waste more time on him.
Spot on Bfb mate. I said on the CCFC fan page on FB, f*** em, let him play out his contract now and leave them when they get sweet FA for him. I'm sure there are other creative midfielders out there, proven at Championship level that we could get and get the job done. Or keep that cash and put it towards a bloody striker lol.
Another box ticked. Mind you apart from the young forward we recently signed most of our recent signings are almost as old as me - Lambert, Bamba, Halford, McGregor. Only Hoilett is under 30. Good job we only have the league to focus on. Most of those couldn't hack it for 2 games a week. Oh dear, Burton, Brighton and Reading in 8 days. Pass the oxygen someone.
In fairness a keeper should be able to play as many games as required. Centre half is not much worse so Bamba should be fine. Lambert looks like a mistake and Halford has been signed as cover so shouldn't be required to put in too many Sat/Tues/Sat type efforts.
We had weeks of this all over our board, I think it was the old BBC606, they Swans had it too the trees signed Pratley also. FACT
More youngsters leaving. Eli Phipps sold to Colchester. Fee unknown. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/completed-phipps-joins-colchester-3526250.aspx And Rhys Healey likely to be loaned to Plymouth now their cup run is over and they have some cash. No surprise there then. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/neil-warnock-reveals-cardiff-city-12474832
Cannot help feeling Lambert only came due to his friendship with Trollop. Cannot understand how unfit he looked v Fulham given he'd hardly kicked a ball for weeks before (including missing that late chance v Barnsley) Cannot see him being here next season. Maybe he'll go on loan this window to Brighton
I've questioned Lambert's contribution on here before. When he first came he was brave and brought a presence up front that both Gounongbe and Zohore had failed to provide. Pilks wasn't the answer as a front man and Lambert seemed a decent call at the time, but I've also come around to thinking he was a Trollope man in the past and it was a mistake. Latterly he looks laboured and over the hill sad to say. If Zohore continues to improve maybe we'll be OK but that's a big "if" at the moment. Looks like mid table safety is the call for this season.
