I love this guy even more!!! What a mad, mad Serbian bastard.... but with a warm side too... http://www.themag.co.uk/2016/02/ale...nd-talks-about-little-mitro-newcastle-united/ Aleksandar Mitrovic explains goal celebration and talks about ‘Little Mitro’ Aleksandar Mitrovic: "You are angry... you are happy... you are tired... you are disappointed... I just want to put everything out there." please log in to view this image Aleksandar Mitrovic put everything into his celebrations after score the vital goal that beat West Brom. The Serbian striker struck shortly after Cheick Tiote had a long-range effort disallowed, a ‘goal’ that was almost a carbon copy of the one against Manchester City a couple of years ago. Mitrovic picked out Cheick Tiote for special mention in his post-match interview, saying it was important the midfielder was back because he ‘gives the team balance’. The centre-forward was played through by Shelvey and instead of snatching it, he instead showed he may be relaxing a bit more and calmly stroked it past Ben Foster in the West Brom goal. Alan Shearer described the goal as massive, both for the team and for the personal confidence of Aleksandar Mitrovic. The extensive celebrations were explained by the striker. Mitrovic saying that when he scores his head is filled with all kinds of emotions that spill out. One particular extra this time was the big softie sucking his thumb, the Serbian forward explaining that his girlfriend is due to give birth next month and he was dedicating that goal and all future ones to ‘Little Mitro’! Aleksandar Mitrovic talking to NUFC TV: “A massive game and a massive three points. After a bad game against Everton we needed to prepare ourselves to forget that game and to do everything we could to win. We showed we learn something from that game and we got a very important three points. “It is much much easier when you play in front of 52,000 of your fans and they were amazing today, like always. “I think this is the way we need to play – try to score goals earlier, press higher. Of course we have very good wingers and also important that Cheick Tiote was back, he gives balance to this team.” ‘How important was the goal for you?’ “I work hard and I have a few chances the last three games but they didn’t come in. I was disappointed but I keep working and tonight I score. “It’s good for me I score but more important is that we played really good football, like a team, and we win this massive game.” ‘Great celebrations, what was going through your mind?’ “Everything! “I don’t know how to explain it. When you score goals you have some special feeling, like mixed feelings; you are angry… you are happy… you are tired… you are disappointed… I just want to put everything out there.” ‘Then you started sucking your thumb…?’ “It’s a…little Mitro! “A baby, my girlfriend is pregnant and in one month, in March, I hope we will get a young Mitro.” ‘So will all your goals in the future be dedicated to him?’ “Yeah, Yeah, for sure.” - See more at: http://www.themag.co.uk/2016/02/ale...-mitro-newcastle-united/#sthash.AGkuMhwR.dpuf
Next season is his season. The lad is as solid as teak. The way he brutalised Ollson yesterday was a joy to watch. The last Toon CF who did that regularly kinda went on to become a bit of a legend. Great man management from Steve in continuing to play him.
He did well yesterday, but let's not go nuts. There wasn't a single player who had a bad game. He needs to have 9-10 good games in a row, because 2 good games in twenty odd is ****! Ben Foster made an absolute howler coming out which gave him the goal. He isn't fast, so the defence would have got back before he had a chance to shoot, and even if he had got one away it would have been poor. Ben made it a 50/50. Idiotic, brainless goalkeeping. To be fair, he was lucky to be let off with the Tiote effort.
Nice to see the fans getting behind Mitro. Foster did make it easier for Mitro but Mitro still had to put it in. If people are going to slate him for missing sitters, which all strikers do, then at least have the decency to give credit when he scores.
He was outstanding yesterday. Everyone in the stadium (bar the idiot sitting next to me) could see it!!
His general play was good, but he still managed to miss a completely unmarked header from a brilliant Rolando cross.... If we go down, it's these misses that will have cost us.
Having seen that early chance again on TV, he was unlucky not to get another one yesterday. Excellent save by their 'raji keeper'
Should probs have had a hatful, but then that goes for a few players. Townsend and Sissoko should really have had at least one. I see Chelsea look like being involved in this race. I think Newcastle could beat them, if for one second I trusted us to put away our chances!
You should be wary of sittng next to strange ****s. I have to put up with the odd wierd ****er from time to time
Just ordered a pink fluffy picture frame for beside the bed. Lovely place for Mad Mitro so sit. Just within stroking distance.
