Jamie Mackie: QPR forward suffers ankle ligament damage please log in to view this image Jamie Mackie scored 18 goals in 94 games during his first spell at QPR between 2010 and 2013 QPR forward Jamie Mackie will be out for at least three more months after suffering ankle ligament damage. The 30-year-old sustained the injury in training while coming back from surgery on a long-standing hamstring problem. Mackie rejoined the R's from Nottingham Forest last summer but only made 16 appearances in 2015-16, missing more than three months through injury. "It is hugely disappointing news for Jamie and for us," boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told the club website. "He has worked incredibly hard over the summer to give himself the best chance of being fit as soon as possible, so I really feel for him." http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36895164 Say what you like about him but this makes us even more light in the forward department. Reenforcements sorely needed.
Poor bugger,we're cursed. Can't see him pulling on the Hoops jersey again I'm afraid,we have to gat some forwards in asap !
its a shame but as les has bought 600 midfield players i cant see how it will effect us to be honest maybe now he will buy jay simpson
Naff Preseason - Check Poor Business done when rebuild was needed - Check Mackie Injured - Check World still spherical - Check All is as it should be.
Watford will be gutted by this news. Oh well, we can look forward to many clapping warm ups. sad for him though.
Don't get me wrong Watford, i liked Mackie his first time around. Limited but very committed unlike some other surrender monkeys that just took the cash. However saying all that his best days were behind him. He was crap for Reading and not good enough for us yet for sentimental reasons they brought him back. I remember at the time saying it was a waste of time having back, and it was. He is a sicknote and not even a good player. We need to move on.
