Agree - but the last "football" man to be a high board member at our club was Niall Quinn - knew loads about footy - but the wages we ended up paying were (relatively) astronomical iirc! Chairmen and Chief execs need to be business men not football men IMO

Agree totally. Leave to the Manager to decide on who he wants, pass on to the Chief Exec so they can do the deal from a Business perspective.
