http://www.comeonyouswans.com/news/...tal-palace-all-eyeing-up-qpr-stopper_2015_07? Not read much about McCarthy for a while, don't know how true this might be. If Green stays, this might make sense to him. Would he get more game time at any of these options?
Selling McCarthy makes zero sense to me Green must go now, we need a rebuild and he's nowhere near worth the money we pay him.
Same here, he was bought with the future in mind so should be No 1 this season. If we now let him go it's just another example of our appalling transfer dealings.
I hope he can play a lot better then he did against the foxes! because he looked s***e in that game, and he would not even be 4th choice at the KP!
We really need to hang on to McCarthy as our future keeper, the reason he was brought in, and play him as our #1 in the Championship. Perhaps no surprise with so much time spent on the bench last season, missing out on match play to hone his skills, that he became rusty. He did well when he stepped in for Green against Liverpool, and I believe the Leicester game was a bit of an aberration with the defence not showing up to support him.
Agree, but he's got 1 year left on his deal. If no-one wants him he can park his backside on the bench for the season and then go. I can see Ramsey sticking with Green as Number 1 and it'll be so deflating.
