Messi hasn't won anything at international level and only ever done it at one club.

Holds him back for me.

Chips vs Fries

I'm not sure on the stats, but I know the spud to fry ratio is outstanding in comparison to stupid chunky chip.

 

There's a lot of hate for Ronaldo and/or Messi, but I'll be personally gutted when both have retired. They don't come around every generation.

Thankfully we will still have Rashford for a few years after they've gone.

 

I remember back at the U8 level, no scrimmage vests (pinnies) were required because half of the boys wore their Messi jerseys to training. But for me it's Renaldo. I remember an important CL match - Renaldo skies for a header, seemingly defying gravity, just like Micheal Jordan, and then emphatically directs the ball into the back of the net. I also recall at the last WC, the US were leading Portugal 1-0 late, very late - and Renaldo delivers a perfect cross from the right wing with whip and pace to the far post and an unmarked attacker... I hate that arrogant "puff."
