I'm more concerned about Huddlestone starting against Man.City next week. Liverpool destroyed their slow defenders today by moving the ball quickly from MF with Coutinho, Firmino, and Lailana, and it could have been much worse than a 4-1 defeat for the Mancs. If Hudd is slowing things down in the middle as he always does then we have no chance. Get Hernandez, Hayden, and Maloney in, and get Robertson and Elmo running at their ponderous FBs. We can make the semis if we play at pace and get at them early. And please sit Hudd on the bench. !!!!!
No one expected Hayden would play surely? I get why people wanted the more energetic player to start but he's definitely bottom of the pile for midfielders in Bruce's eyes. I think from Bruce's point of view he just picked the next best midfielder rather than the most similar to Meyler. In any case, from what I've seen Hayden can't drive forward like Meyler.
Surely he pick players who are similar to the ones who have us playing so well. Shift Clucas central and bring Maloney on out left if need be.
Many hoped, not many expected. He wasn't selected, we saw the resulting performance. Bruce sometimes doesn't make logical choices. Believe it or not I have no agenda. The end.
I'm pretty sure he's looked to shoot more than any other Midfielder (apart from Diame obviously). I remember he took a shot from the edge of the box and Hernandez tapped in the rebound, then another time he hit the post. Compared to Thudd and Livermore that's amazing in his limited game time.
Yes and Yes. An invoice will be winging it's merry way to the ROI FA anytime soon. Whilst bad news for Meyler(his injury) it is not all bad news for the club. At least we will have him back for the festive period and It does give others a chance now.
My festive period runs from sat 19th dec to Monday 4th jan incl. As for Meyler, lets hope that he is back sooner rather than expected eh ?.
It might have helped if someone so precise about things had of spelt the name correctly - Caitlyn Jenner - unless there was a name-change thrown in as well.
Went tonight to the evening with Meyler/Maloney/Odubajo, when asked Meyler said he would be back in 4 weeks, I spoke to him afterwards and he said he will be back training in 2 weeks.
