"Just breaking – Nathan Baker, I’m told, is heading to discuss a loan move to Bristol City.” Aston Villa defender, from Sky Sports.
4-4-2? Just read Wiki.. and he is considered a centre or left back. Competition for Williams or as above a change to a different formation?

Andy Stockhausen @AndyStockhausen 3 mins3 minutes ago Crawley, England Nathan Baker has also joined @bcfctweets on loan - aplogies for writing that one off prematurely!
Now that is a very good signing. 6'4 left sided CB. Moore on the right, Flint in the middle, and Baker on the left.
Decent signing this. No disrespect to Williams but I think Baker should be starting against Birmingham. It's a good thing we have this international break so these new players have time to gel etc. I'd hope to see a back 5 of Ayling Moore Flint Baker Bryan
Looks like an elm tree, strong and powerful, and hopefully he will fit in nicely. Good luck mate and welcome aboard the good ship Bristol City.
Very pleased we have these 2 defenders to replace Ayling and Williams alongside Flint. Always thought Ayling looked uneasy in a back 3 but decent going forward so he might, as Shiny wrote, end up as a RWB. I'm afraid I don't see a future for Williams other than a bench player. Shame, as yet, we haven't got another striker in.
Totally agree that Williams will be benched, but I think Ayling will as well and rightly so. He's a good player on the ball but his defensive positioning is crap and he's easily shoved off the ball both in the air and on the ground. As for being a wing back, forget it. For me, he is a major weak point defensively. Like Williams, he should be a squad player and moved on next season.
But no striker? When does the loan window open? Yet again I think we have done poorly in the transfer window and I will never agree that short term loans are the answer. We will have to wait and see if we have found some diamonds in the rough - I hope so.
Certainly worrying for both Williams and Ayling. Personally quite like Ayling and hope there's more to come from him, this could make him up his game.
Ayling has been one of our better players this season bar 1 dodgy spell in 1 game?? He was voted the ninth best player in league 1 last year and made the team of the year. He's easily good enough to move in to midfield and replace Pack, has good vision and a fairly good pace and can carry the ball, likes a challenge too, he lacks height on set pieces defensively, but we're getting bogged down on a couple of mistakes at the back and I still blame the keeper for not commanding his box better, this was something Fielding was poor at initially but improved as he went on. Believe me Cotts won't be benching Ayling any time soon!
