Meh Home kits are generally boring as not much changes, particularly for teams with plain shirts such as Portsmouth, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc. Occasionally there's like a stripe or something, but usually not. And for teams with stripes, it's usually just the thickness/number of stripes (except in your case) Away kits, now they're interesting. Hoping we get a more interesting one next season, and none of that full yellow rubbish.
I'd say Lovren and Lallana are more worried about their range of benchwear as they'll be wearing that more than the jerseys unless they've moved on to a bigger club!
To be honest, I don't get terribly excited about kits these days. Most of them look ridiculous, although they have improved in one way slightly in recent years simply by the reduction of flapping excess material in them as standard size. But one only has to look at... say Arsenal's home kits over the last 20 years to realise how a design team can truly f*** up every 12/24 months or so. If they actually tried to make them look worse they'd have difficulty achieving it. At SFC, I find that Saints Away/3rd blue/yellow themed kits are the only ones that still actually make me go 'wow', because they make the players look better. The black/white kit from last season was reasonable, but this season's glossy two-tone blue with yellow highlights was really memorable. If the reports are true that we'll be sporting a green/black or blue monstrosity next season I might be reaching for the sick bag. Mind you, at least we don't have Arsenal's design team.
Anyone remember David Seaman's pizza shirt with all the toppings...dazzled anyone who came near the goal.
