Yes but as they have loaned the club money they can in return at any time choose to pay it back to themselves. ie if Robertson went for cash up front, which is possible given the low fee involved then they can pay it back to themselves can they not?
What was that thing they did with the parachute payments and the Australian bank Mcquary? It is possible to sell a debt, like if someone owes you 10 but is not payable till next year the buyer can give you 9 today and they will take the 10 next year. This years parachute payment is i think 47 million, sales so far have brought in about 30 million so i can see how they could all their money back.
But we never disagreed with that? When they sell they can't take with them the amounts still outstanding from other clubs.
I just don't see him selling up. He would have by now if him wanted to. On the other hand are we seen as really undesirable to the point where we're stuck with the horrible little scroat .
I think they will wait for next seasons parachute payment we will go through a similar transfer policy then they may consider going. I also think has well has the money Ehab enjoys all this a bit like a cat playing with a mouse.
Don't forget football transfer fees receivables are as good as cash on the balance sheet due to regulations. Any how we don't know the structure of recent sales - it's possible the club has agreed deals for a quick payment.
The parachute payments are paid monthly, I think. I recall seeing a post under a different thread explaining it. If they're relying on the parachute payments they'll have to wait. The mortgage on the land and parachute payments was to cover the £20 odd million loan Ehab needed to pay for the last Bruce promotion season. I expect most of that to have been repaid last season which explains why the mortgage on the land has been discharged. Yes, you can sell a debt but why would they as it would affect the sale price of the club?
Yes make the club attractive for potential buyers but completely stripping the club bare whilst at the same time losing your customers in the thousands is just insane and shows the total lack of football knowledge from the owners. I doubt we have any serious interest anyway probably leaked by the club to detract from our lack of activity and sales.
There cannot be anyone interested in buying the club. They'd be mad. Wait 3 or 4 years when we are at the bottom of league one and get us for a snip. Unless of course we go into administration before then. I wonder if the old man is really bothered about his legacy
Because buying us now and building a squad for promotion is presumably cheaper than taking a punt on a struggling League One side with the aim of taking them to the PL.
