Well it's nearly tea time on Wednesday.....has Sheridans other signing, that had been put on hold decided that Devon is too far from the bright lights ?
Well, gone lunchtime on Thursday (sensible is waiting for his water bottle to take to bed) and no sign of Sheridans second loanee.......although there is a rumour going around that another of his targets (S London premier reserve player) will not be coming. Only a week or so before the window closes....It will be too late soon for anyone to come in to be of any value.
I see Gozie Ugwu has been loaned out by Reading......luckily not to us again, but to Shrewsbury.....PHEW.....that was a near one.
The on-going saga of the new loan striker continues. John Sheridan said that he has got it down to one of two players.neither are available before the York game. One is not available until he finishes his present loan deal this weekend. The other one is away on international duty. The player he was talking about last week I assume wasn't interested.....or so it seems....all a little confusing to be honest.
Three names going the rounds regarding a loan striker. John Marquis.....31yrs old.....Millwall......just finishing a months loan at Portsmouth. Dani Lopez.....28yrs old......Stevenage...............ditto...................at Barnet. Gary Alexander.....34yrs old.....Crawley.....on the periphery.......came on as a sub in last weeks Cup match. Probably none of those....but a bit of fun to check-em out. Don't know who the international duty one could be.
Hey Plym....bring back Chadders I say, scoring like there's no tomorrow at Tamworth. Is there something really drastically wrong at HP or what?
Of course he is Cup-tied now.......we'll have to get to Wembley without him.....tough .......we could play Tamworth in the 3rd round !!!
"Is there something drastically wrong at Home Park" The above must go down as the understatement of the millenium. I can tell you are not living locally HP. Is the Pope Catholic. Does BC do things in the woods. Does Mexijan drink alcohol. Is Gat the fairest prediction ref in the world.......
Sheridan says that he is still looking for a striker even though Argyle scored five last time out. I expect we mustn't get carried away because we score five against a mid-table Conference team. Sheridan says that he is still looking for a striker probably means that we must assume his two targets from last week turned us down. It looks easier to get people to sail into the unknown on the Mayflower to the new world....than to lure players to Plymouth to play football, don't they realize that as footballers 50% of them will not die in the first winter at Home Park like the Pilgrim Fathers did in the new world.
NEW STRIKER on loan until the new year. Caolan Owen Lavery from Alberta Canada loaned from Sheffield Wednesday.....21 yrs old....5ft 11in. Record 2008.....Canada U17's........record unknown. 2009.....N Ireland U19's.....played 3.....scored.....Nil. 2010.....N Ireland U21's.....played 6.....scored.....Nil. Sheffield W.....played 3.....scored.....Nil. Southend on loan.....played 3.....scored.....Nil. So Sheridan brings in a 21 yr old who hasn't scored a single goal in first team football in his whole career !!! At least he is halfway to Canada down the west country. Why cannot we get anything resembling a goal scorer with any experience......why is it so hard to attract players to Home Park. Oh Dear........shirt No 13 by his own request........has he got a shamrock in his pocket ?
From Red Deer Alberta...the home of many good Ice Hockey Players...only this Kid plays football Mmmm. Good luck to him anyway..
Stop bleddy moaning plym. He has to start his "prolific" tag somewhere so it might as well be here. I just wish people would give these players a kick of the ball before writing them off. He may turn out to be rubbish but we can hardly put a label on him yet can we. Good luck to the kid.
