    One year maybe. Even then I'd say playing in Europe was bigger than a relegation battle, although clearly the club didn't think see it that way.

    It's pretty split. Brucie's attitude and constant name dropping of us and some posters of here has swayed many towards wanting Newcastle to stay up that coupled with our recent derby record and our record against Hull, so yeah surprisingly split. I want the Mags to go down myself.

    I haven't spoken to one Mackem who will not be cheering on Hull City on Sunday and I have watched this develop from the off. The truth is that some Newcastle lads will be cheering us on as well, as they wish relegation on Ashley. It's a sad old game.

    You'll see many more of then than I do, but the ones I've spoken to seem to support what you say.

    On line forums can be misleading for quite a few reasons. The Sunderland fans I know that have looked cringe at some of their not606 posters and avoid it.
