Did you think Cousin was **** when he scored the winner at the Emirates? I didn't think he was that bad to be honest, just a Bit of an arsehole.

You have an old school view of strikers, which is fair enoug, but you shouldn't Base how good a player is just on goals in appearances. What about a forward who didn't score many but got loads of assists?

 

I believe Roo would refer to them as an attacking midfielder.

Hernandez' problem isn't even his goal return. It's that he gets completely marked out of games like 90% of the time. He's still only had 3 decent games for us. The first two were months ago, and against Chelsea he showed promise but was still a long way off N'Doye's performance.

 

His performance against Everton wasn't useful? Before the game against Chelsea, that was his last significant game time..

None of the so-called strikers I have mentioned were brought in to "ASSIST" - they were brought in to score goals and they didn't! End of!
That is why Cousin is on my list of "Not Strikers @rseholes".

 

Read my posts (and previous ones) Madge and you will not find Hernadez' name mentioned anywhere. He is NOT on my "Not Strikers @rseholes" list at all and never has been.
I have said many times that Hernandez has shown touches of class but he was bought to score goals but has been mostly well held at this level by (but to be fair) some of the finest defenders in the world.
However, nobody will convince me that he was worth 10 million quid.
Has it all to do in the remaining games but if he fails to impress and an offer comes in he will be let go.
Cousin should have been arrested for trying to impersonate a football player and Gabon will never be a threat in the World Cup.

Cousin had a less than average goalscoring record at Rangers and the other clubs he was at, I highly doubt he was brought in to be a clinical finisher. He was 6 ft 1, he was obviously brought in as a target man, we already had a good finisher in Marlon King.
