This one is a poison chalice for so many reasons.

None more so than Justin Edinburgh, now does the guy send us down recompense or does he compensate us for this aftermath, either way i wouldn't want to call it. But to be honest the biggest call is going to be made at Fleetwood, whatever happens Sunday, they need to win, it is the only way they can get automatic promotion, the problem is Bolton only need a draw at home to the Posh and it's game over, unless Fleetwood can smash at least 8 pass Port Vale!

As for us, well...

Myself and alwaysright had a sign, the hands of fate had warned us, remember the Vale fans at Port Vale some seasons back, I'll use a pun...the writing was on the door.

However, there is some satisfaction, at least we will not be getting Dover next season, they blew their chance tonight with a draw at home, leaving them needing a win and making up a 6 goal deficit to get any where near the National League play offs in to L2.

It's could be a lonely cold season 2017/18 and that's the only prediction i can give.

Blind faith to the bitter end.

 

Well it is kind of brb to wish us well but in order to preserve a bit of fair competition we may need to reflect. First of all, I could wait for patchy to post and then copy him which of course would be dishonourable. On the other hand we might both predict the same score coincidently, in which case it would be unfair on me if I posted first and then patchy chose a different score so that he could enhance his chances by going for a different outcome score to me.

It seems to me that we could have two ways of dealing with this. We could both post at abput the same time tomorrow and promise not to look at the others prediction until we submit our own. Alternatively, we could have an honest broker who could receive a private message from us both in confidence, which would contain our score.

i will await any alternative proposal although at the moment I have a feeling it could be a 9-8 win for the cobblers with JED coming off the bench after 89 minutes to head a winner past Nelson who will have come on after 88 mins following Holy's eighth own goal However I am still thinking about it..

 

You guys can pm me if you wish. I probably chat to Patchy quite a bit more through social media, but patchy also knows how things lay with me in that I would never be dishonourable.

 

There is always a last game day story and I have an awful feeling this years could be JEDS Northampton sending us down so hope I am wrong.

Good valid points here, I had been meaning to discuss this with you but it had slipped my mind so apologies!

I have sent my prediction to brb on twitter just now. Therefore you can now post your prediction on here at some point this morning, neither of us will have know what the other said. Once you've posted yours I can then say what mine was which I have just sent to brb.

I wish that the bloody players took the actual game as seriously as you lot in this bit of nonsense ---- and talking of nonsense - wtf am I doing 'up' at this time of the day ? -well I am having an early cuppa before I prepare for the journey ---- anyone might think that I couldn't sleep for worrying about the outcome - I'll leave that to the squad ! ( should I wake up Mrs. alwaysright ? )
