Personally I rather not have one and instead have something done at the Mem, some sort of parade there and chance for pics etc to be done and basically have a party atmosphere there. However there WILL be a bus parade! Monday 25th May - Bank Holiday Monday! Starts from Deanery Road Warmley Railway Station (11:15), going through Kingswood High Street and through St George and ends at Lawrence Hill Roundabout where the bus will then proceed to The Memorial Stadium (12noon). Not sure what will happen at the Mem but worth a look I guess http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/a-date-for-your-diary-2463297.aspx#FwGhe1gizgZqBq4J.99

I cant see many will be lining the streets! At the Mem speeches will be made and the players will celebrate from the executive boxes. They will then be introduced to the fans, who will be allowed on the pitch. Lord Mayor Alastair Watson will present the players with their league runners-up medals. The promotion trophy will also be on display. The club has booked a barbecue, ice cream van and food kiosks, and bars will be open along, with merchandise stalls. The parade comes just weeks after Bristol City celebrated their Johnstone's Paint Trophy and League One championship double with a victory tour through the city centre. Thousands enjoyed the sunshine and turned up at the Amphitheatre on the Harbourside. The weather on Monday is predicted to be cooler than the rest of the weekend, with some cloud cover. At the moment, no rain is forecast and temperatures are expected to reach 14C. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/BRISTOL-ROVERS-Details-open-bus-parade/story-26549343-detail/story.html
I find this news a little knaff if I'm to be honest, I mean, if we had always been a non league outfit and this was going to be our first encounter with the football league then you could of perhaps understood it but come on Rovers, just suck it up and get on with the real business when the season starts later in the summer.
To be honest I have no problem with the Open Bus tour thingy, you had one in 2007 and so did we when we didn't win anything ( we finished 2nd) so why shouldn't you have one this year? Promotion is an achievement no matter what Division you are in so just enjoy it. I just wont be watching it

Bloody hell rovers Did you have to tweet that pic on the way to your first destination. You know full well the red half would be devoting there last bank holiday of the year on watching the blue half. It's sad But the comment above proves this to be true
Personally I cant see anything wrong with it. They were just letting everyone know they are on their way! I like how the Mirror pointed out about Chelsea... "While Chelsea were celebrating their Premier League title with an open top bus parade in front of thousands in west London" But they didnt use this picture of Chelsea did they.... please log in to view this image The Mirror just made up crap saying the Rovers parade was at the start and tried to be funny with it but they included the Rovers tweet saying "on their way to the 1st destination". Of course there will be no one lining the street as no one knows what streets they were planning on going to get to the starting point. Is that article by the Mirror the dumbest article going? Yes. By a country mile!
