I tried sour dough bread tonight and it is utterly splendid....

It's up there wit the salt and pepper tiger bread in Tesco.

    What's your favourite?

Just came back from Ireland, Potato Bread with the full fried breakfast always starts the day well in Ireland.

    Racist <laugh>

Don't shoot me guys, but I like the crust parts of bread. I thus tend to like homemade stuff with lots of crust.

    US steaks are the best.

I always get to Ruth's Chris for a steak when I'm over in Cali. Expensive for the US... but absolutely cooked to perfection.
The one down in Irvine seems to attract a few celebs if I remember rightly.

If any of your boys and girls get over to Turkey... they have a villiage bread I call rabbit bread as it looks like the outline of a bunny when you slice it... it's got no preservatives in and is similar to sourdough bread.

Pan fried with a full breaky is just brilliant, always reminds me of my Grandmother in County Clare when we were kids and she used to make us breakfast when we visited in the summer holidays.

Only been to Ruth Chris once, don't think it's worth the money. Don't think it's any better than Saltgrass or Texas Roadhouse or any others and it's much more expensive!

    Sure is.
Think my portion of the bill came to over $100... and I only had 5 beers with the food.

Interestingly there was no such thing as " the Irish potato famine ", they just forgot where they'd planted them.

I don't eat much bread. However I do like a good crusty toasted slice with my mushrooms, scambled eggs and chives on a Saturday morning.

    That fecking sandwich looks incredible!!!

French toast is NOT eggy bread - French toast uses sugar and vanilla, traditionally, rather than just eggs. I love both.

Like a decent pretzel. You can pick up a passable one from M&S.

Tesco do a decent sourdough from a company called La Brea.

Fried bread is the best, dipped in the bacon fat. <ok>

Actually, that probably contributed to my heart attack. <doh>
