Off Topic Otters. The forum kind.

I used to think my good old Manc mate Tel (who i have chatted with tonight) referred to Otters as being forum watchers, mainly consisting of nea members looking in. And offering nothing.

But although true to an extent. The worst otters are actually members,many of them long time members. Senior otters as you may call them.

Its easy to watch them. Just click on currenr visitors.

They dont like any threads, but have zero input on creating any.

I actually know i start to many. But with the likes of Bri,Tel and even Smug (as much as that pains me to say). I dont get people. Are you all mostly sheep (sorry otters).

Forget me. I will do my own ****. But dont leave it all to the few.

Bri,Tel have gone for now. Give them a reason to come back.

Sorry i include everyone in that. Inc mods. Only seen marcus in the last week or so.

Sometimes I post and interact quite regular - other times like when I'm inundated with work as I've been recently so then I just glance in when I can - so if that makes me an otter then throw me a fish

I've only ever started a few.
I like a lot of posts and
I say my bit when it hasnt already been said by somebody else.

It will be going quiet in the next few weeks anyway and we will all come back refreshed for another assault on the EPL............ i hope.

 

i mainly come on when the boss is out the office while at work, if i feel like commenting i will if not i might read a bit then log off and re-visit a little later.
Sometimes get on during the evening, depends what's happening at home etc.
Take my hat off to com though as poor ****er is almost single handidly keeping this forum going as well as trying to get them French fancies to decide what ****ing pools they want

Sunderland are the best followed Club on these boards. Hull City are second on about 26,000 posts (5,000 behind) followed by the Bar-Codes and QPR on about 22,000. The rest run way behind with only 2 or 3 (I believe) over 10,000. Most have a few hundred which is pathetic.
There will be plenty to talk about during the close season and next season.
The Prediction League is always very popular (it has been suggested by 'Pops' that I start off a handicap of -50 next season owing to my run-away win this season).

I love this forum. IN the new season my job role changes so I'll have more time (hopefully) to spend on here (more supervisory than hands on so I will get chance to browse regularly)

It's great but, being a mod, when you get constant sl;ating PM's from members about how badly you're modding the site and also get people texting their mates with completely the wrong end of the stick, you feel like chucking it in. This is the best multi-club forum I have seen.

I don;t mind taking over the match threads in the new season Commo. I like creating threads but shutting up shop certainly shouldn't be an option.

What exactly do we need to do to get Bri and Tel (among others) back on here? There is activity. Debate, occasional dummy spitting (of which most of us have been guilty from time to time) and some name calling. It's a football forum which I am yet to find better. I like the fact that multiple fans can come onto each others boards without having to register for another site (like a lot of forums which are login per club rather than for the entire site)

If enough people think I'm not up to the modding job then I'll step down and remain as a poster. But family and work come before this forum every day and always will.

My problem with creating threads is that I'm **** at creating interesting threads that are not football related (and pretty rubbish with the football ones too!)

 

You just stay where you are. Ive probably been the worst for ousting mods and leading coups

I understand the thread making thing, and some dont like doing them. Maybe cos i post so much drivel, just think of something. Hey presto another thread. I expect others to do the same. When that is unrealistic.

I just hate seeing the same threads day after day and they get not responses, so they need ousting.
