We attended the annual player of the year awards on Tuesday at the SOL but were disappointed at how few players attended , these nights are well supported and their is normally a lot more players come along and I can’t think why so few made the effort to attend . I realise that some of the players would have other commitments but I would have expected more of them to attend this annual event , the players are well supported both home and away by the supporters and here was the opportunity to meet the fans particularly the younger element to get autographs and photos taken with their heroes . I have to say the ladies team put the men’s team to shame on the night with an excellent turn out despite the disappointment of Sunday - Well done to them . Hopefully this message gets back to the players on the men’s team and more make the effort to attend next years event , well done to the players who made the effort last night thank you .
It's a shame there were not more players there like. Things like that should be in their contracts. It makes the day for bairns if they get to meet their heroes. I'm still buzzing that Luke O'Nien replied to a Tweet I sent him about four years ago
There will probably be a full turnout for that, the club will have a three line whip on it. Last night was the BLC one at reasonable cost, the one on the 6th is a corporate one put on by the club at £150 a ticket.
Ridiculous price that like, considering the demographic of the local area and the current cost of living etc.
Certainly seriously restricts who can go! Must keep out the riff raff. Sort of thing would have expected from Methven.
O’Nien , Ballard , Clarke, Hume , Mundle , Rigg , Adil ,Bishop , + 1 other Pembele or Alese and that was it , being cynical you wonder how much the no shows really care about the fans as much as the fans care about the club .
