The congestion at the bottom, and teams either taking points off each other, or not getting many elsewhere, how points needed this season to stay up? I reckon 35 will be enough? 34 might be enough for us with our goal difference as it stands
I would say 33 pts, the way I look at it is if we can get six points then one of the bottom 3 would need 11 to equal us.
2 wins i reckon. As longs as the top 6 don't destroy our healthy goal difference as well. But where from i don't know.
Win against Lester and Burnley hopefully will do , bonus points against Swansea and Palace , hopefully Manure will have settled for Europa spot by last day and this time we should beat their reserves.
32 points will likely do it this year, as long as we maintain a healthy GA compared to the clubs around us. That is my answer to the OP's question. But this club can do better than that, even given the 27 points where we sit now. There should be at least two more wins and 2-3 more draws in this club. If they do that, and end up with, say, 35 points, I don't see QPR or Burnley amassing the 14 points (or 13 plus overcoming GD) to overtake us.
The goal difference looks good right now but with games against a good few of the Premiership Financial Pigs to come, that could change over a short period. For my mind, 'Ull Targers need at least one shock in the Financial Pig games to come, cos without one they can't get enough points and a return to the best league in the world is imminent!
So you can see three out of Leicester, Burnley,Villa, QPR and Sunderland all getting 12-13 more points can you?
