Polter set to join QPR Former Germany under-21 international Sebastian Polter is set to join QPR. The 24-year-old 6’3” striker is on the verge of a move to the Championship club after German side Mainz revealed he wouldn’t be returning to the Bundesliga club. "Sebastian will not come back to Mainz,” declared Mainz manager Christian Heidel, who said he was “very likely” to head to QPR. It is believed the R’s are spending just over £1million to sign Polter, who scored 14 times on loan at Union Berlin while on loan in 2014-15.
Hope this rules out Ricky Lambert as in coming too.... By the way he is not a CD, have I mentioned we need defenders????
I'd be happy with this. Scored 14 in 29 last season in the German second division, so says Wikipedia.
Union Berlin is a very cool club, one for the afficionados who have made St Pauli trendy. The fans rebuilt the stadium themselves a couple of years ago. I prefer Hertha Berlin bcause a couple of their fans bought me beer on the way to the ground. But Union, nice.... Wilkommen Bastian.
Actually is 2.3 Mio € (around 1.6 Mio GBP) QPR is paying for him http://www.ligainsider.de/sebastian-polter_625/zahlt-qpr-2-3-millionen-euro-abloese-117277/ Union was bidding 1.5 Mio € and it wasnt enough for Mainz...
See, told you he would be useless. He would always be getting sent off for handball. Lessons have clearly not been learnt at QPR
Next someone will post that he was Norbert Düwel's (manager currently managing 1. FC Union Berlin) rent boy...
Mind you being he's German he would be very efficient around the box. A quick in then out, you know a real box predator...
