Pre-season friendlies

With Tony Pulis at WBA maybe we can get one or two of their players on loan, after all he did let us have Ryan Brunt and he did well for in the beginning

 

Quite a run of games from Saturday. Let's hope they stay injury free...

 

DC has named his match day squads for both friendly games this weekend. DC said he wanted to be fair to the fans. He said fans who wanted to pick and choose if they are going or what games they will watch can do so knowing who will actually be playing.

I notice there is no Easter, Puddy or trialist Jennison Myrie-Williams, who is the only player on trial not be involved for some reason.

 

I'm thinking myself Puddy is are number 1 and maybe DC is looking for his back up out of Milldy and McLoughlin or maybe he's just injured

 

If he is our number one it will be interesting to see how he does in this league. I think some back up will be essential.

 

Im very interested to know who is actually our number 1.

Nice to see Lucas and Blissett get a couple each really hope Lucas gets a chance this season

 

Im guessing Mansell has an issue. He was due to play today but a last minute change meant he missed the game and Gosling took his place. Gosling was due to play tomorrow. Not sure if that will still happen.

 

Good to see Blissett on the score sheet. He is very much a confidence player so this will be massive for him.

* Some good play from Rovers in the middle of the park so far with Sinclair at the heart of it

* Montano jinked his way into the penalty area but his dinked cross was headed off the line

* GOAL! @jaylucas50 puts Rovers ahead after Blissett knocked the ball beyond the goalkeeper. 1-0 Gas!

* Montano plays a good ball towards the back post but Lucas couldn't get his header on target. Dominant performance so far

* Salisbury force a corner after good wing play down the right

* An ambitious effort from distance goes harmlessly wide of Mildenhall's goal

* Blissett goes down in the box but the referee says there was no contact

* Bodin flashes an effort from 25 yards well wide of goal

* Bodin does well to cut in from the right wing, but smashes well over the bar

* The Salisbury goalkeeper does well to clear before Lucas can latch onto a through ball

* GOAL! Gosling slides a perfect ball through to @NateBlissett who passes the ball into the bottom corner. 2-0.

* GOAL! Lyttle with an outstanding run to the byline before @jaylucas50 heads home... 3-0!

* SUB: Dominic Thomas comes on to replace Sinclair, who receives a standing ovation from both sets of supporters

* Bodin plays a great ball out to Montano who races into the box, but his lob goes just over the crossbar

* Salisbury fire an effort harmlessly wide after a corner

* Gosling's shot from just outside the box is blocked by a defender 6 yards out

* SUBS: Broom, Kilgour and Malpas replace Lockyer, Gosling and Montano

* The Salisbury goalkeeper saves Bodin's effort after the winger beat his full back

* 76 minutes on the clock and Rovers are enjoying most of the possession; Broom is looking lively in the final third

* An acrobatic effort from Claudio Herbert drifts wide of Mildenhall's goal

Hopefully Blissett build confidence in time for August - he looked a handful on the highlights.

Best lineup is tomorrow though. Lines, Ellis, Matty, Parkes, Browner etc. All of which I'd expect to start against Northampton.
